Hi there i own a merc sprinter 2.7 150 bhp motor home I have just brought a self fit chip that plugs directly into the top of the fuel rail . It will boost the power from 150 bhp up to 220 bhp by finger clicking settings on the control box i have mine set at 200bhp ish and it climbs hills like a dream and even uses less fuel especially if i have the cruise set.

This is this best item I have purchased for my vehicle if you need any details on prices or where to get them feel free to leave me a message on here....

Regards

Hi is yours an auto or manual box?

What revs is it doing at 120 km/h on the flat , before and after the
chip ?

How much does the chip cost , is it worth doing ?

Thanks

My mates just fitted one to his Hymer. Reports an increase in fuel economy and a fantastic increase in power, roundabouts in 5th gear. I enquired but my 1996 Euromobil is too old, its needs the common rail engine to be able to work

jenks, a chip increases bhp/tourque, it doesnt alter the geared speed what your van does now at 120 kph, wouldnt change if you had a chip fitted. the only way to alter geared speed is to either fit bigger wheels and tyres i.e.. from 15" to 17" wheels,, even then there is very little gained,or change the diff ratio, hope this helps you, daz

Cheers Daz,

DOH ! Yep should of thought of that !

Do you know if 416 Mercedes , have different CWP available?

Would be interested to know what revs other 416 chassis are using for 120
on the flat .

thanks

jenks, the twin wheel mercs 416/413/411/412 etc have diffrent gearing to the single wheel sprinters, the twin wheel sprinters are around 10mph slower than single wheel sprinters on top end,,only way to find out is pop into your merc dealer and get a broucher on the specs and see what rear diff options are,
i would say yours will top out at around 90/95mph, my old 412 topped out at around 90,and wasnt that good on hills well not comparied to the single wheel models, daz
