Rules on Campsites

In the ongoing debate about wildcamping one reason that I would emphasise is the freedom.

All though there are tacit rules in wildcamping they are nowhere near as daunting as these which were handed over to me having paid £17 plus £2 for my dogs and £10 for a key deposit.

They are obviously very worried about the traveling fraternity which is much different from motorhomers

Happy tripping
Looks like they have had a lot of long stay workmen staying there in the past

Perhaps but when I also tell you that the small touring part is surrounded by Mobile homes with large propane cylinders, loose dogs and the staff toss cigarette ends everywhere as well as speed around the place. I would rather be with travellers.
Yup that's what it looks like to me, not over restrictive to be fair, just aimed at keeping the place looking tidy, not a ***** encampment.

Most of the stuff is what any considerate person would do anyway, but you have to write it down to allow for the scruffbags!

It is only address to the "guests" not the staff.

I don't mind rules, but the gestapo attitude of some sites is beyond a joke.

It is a sad state when such has to be agreed before entry. But then how many times have you heard people complaining about any one of these activities being abused by fellow campers. If we were all as considerate as you and me Frank than we could do away with the rule book. The reality is we are not.
It's just one big rip off these days, everywhere you go , high prices low service if at all, you no longer get what you pay for.

Kev.
