I am sure you will not give the location away - there are snatchers trolling the internet.
I know what you mean but this is not a photo of the bird's nesting site, which would be a different matter. I expect it was on a fishing expedition. We know there are ospreys nesting at Loch Garten, Loch of the Lowes, near Peebles, Kelso and many others and you can spot them at various locations which are well known. Several have webcams at the nest site and are monitored by wildlife organisations and volunteers. The nesting site at Kelso has recently been "renovated" with the help of SP Energy Networks. Naturally, the actual location hasn't been revealed. Nest Relocation

The Loch that I was near is a regular place that Osprey hunt, some times I have seen as many as 5 or 6 over the Loch,my wife and I have been going to the Loch on and off for quite a few years now.

I first saw Osprey a couple of years ago at Findhorn. There's a tidal lagoon where the river meets the North Sea and several came flying in from the West. Last year we were walking in a forest near Ballater when one rose up from a tree and started calling.

If you're interested in what's going on in Scotland outdoors then there's a great program on Radio Scotland starting at 6:30am to 8 covering all kinds of outdoor activities from farming/crofting to wild camping in the forest. Out of Doors You can also download it as a podcast, which is what we do when we're in Spain.

I was pleased reading this part of your post.:smile2:

I know of Golden Eagles up their in the North of Scotland, and now also only a few miles from my home here is another nesting Golden Eagle.

My carers got the Welsh Forestry Commision involved when I showed them, as it took some time for them to actually belive me what the bird was as they have only ever heard of them, and bnever ever seen one close-up. The Forestry commisiion have given the nesting site over to another wildlife agency, who now monitor and watch the site, also with trip wires and wireless wi-fi devices in the forest to alert if anything is not right.
I would never put any images of the bird online.
I wonder if i should even have said Wales has a nesting Golden Eagle?
My carers are not here as I speak this on screen, so if too much information, tell me and i'll delete this post.

Like you, I also have a great massive lens, mine is only a Nikon zoom 150-500mm/f5.6.

Thanks Jan, now you can maybe start to get an idea of how my mind and brain do not quite work out the obvious in life anymore, the same as a clock now does not mean a thing to me anymore, and this part does not bother me, but by jove, it can annoy others I notice.

I don´t think you will annoy anyone on here by being forgetful , most of us are at an age when that can happen
