The dreaded green gunge (from the rubber hose on the bottle) did for our fridge a while ago.
Sooting Fridge Problem

HI All, being a non-techie I am hoping someone can shed some light on a problem I am experiencing with the Thetford fridge fitted in my Autocruise Starfire.
Over the last few months it appears that when I run the fridge on gas an excessive amount of soot and smelly exhaust is being generated. I have checked the flame which is nice and blue and have also cleaned exhaust pipe and blown out flame area. The confusing thing is that despite the sooting the fridge functions OK.
Also if anyone can help with info of contacts of anyone in the South who could service and repair if needed this Thetford fridge.
Any advice would be most welcome
