As a kid we lived on the 3rd floor tenement. Now and again new tenants would move into the flat below and party. As my mother needed to get to work most days and needed sleep, it only took hoovering the floor at 3 to 4am once to show the new tenants the error of this ways.

It took the police 3 visits and then a €200 fine before my neighbour got the full message, I have told the story before. There is no animosity between us, he comes to help me if needed, I cut his grass at the front when I cut mine, but I still have to go and remind him at times that the din is too loud.
Why are some people so unreasonable when it comes to noise.
