Hi

Looking for a suitable extending swinging arm bracket for a new 16"LCD tv instalation. Would be good if it could be physically locked into position, including being retracted flat against the mounting wall and locked in a travelling position to stop it swinging about. Any ideas please?

there are lots of designs out there, look on ebay.
all comes down to cost, some cost more than the TV.
I've used a small bracket for a Sat nav, for our 11" LCD from Maplins, £3.99.
And a fold down bracket fitted on its side for our 21", £12.99 from Ebay.

both work well and have lasted a year of travelling and children pulling at them.

Cheers but due to the design of the van, new location of telly will need to serve 2 separate areas opposite each other on different occaisions and then retract flat when not in use and for travelling and be locked solidly in position with some form of operational handle instead of the usual friction joints. Have been looking unsuccessfully for a bracket that will do this. Dont really want to have to resort to inelegant bungee ties to hold it in place whilst on the move!
