This isn't my heater, I looked on google to see if I could find a picture - my tie rod broke at the electrics end
I tried to find the actual link gaz, but I don't find the search facility much good and Google wasn't much use either.Have a look on YouTube, one of our dear departed members did a similar repair on his Cascade too, search post from Listerdiesel.
Hi. Did you ever solve this? I have the same question. I would assume the O ring goes on the inner lip, but when Ive tried this the tank wobbles, even when tightened to the max. This is going to sound really silly but...........
My tie rod broke, got a replacement so all good there, now the really stupid question - the large O ring, where does it sit on the baseplate, when I took old tank off it looked like the o ring was around the groove on the outermost part of the plate, there is another groove further in that seems to correspond with the step on the tank - I'm unsure where it goes - i'm doing it in situ so a little harder - any help appreciated
