I posted on some time ago about the problem iIwas having with drying marks when wasing my MH.

It was suggested I tried the new Flash system, well I tried it on one of our cars and it did just what it said on the tin - dried with no spots or marks. The windscreen which would clearly show any drying marks was spotless.

Thanks for the help and suggestions!

Glad it was ok on the car, John.

In order to convince me I would like further proof of its effectiveness and would be grateful if you would make arrangements to wash our motorhome.
I will of course publish the results of your work!

Hi Jabber
No need to take up the very generous offer made by Autostratus, I just did my Hymer today with the flash thingy.... Well there are a few water marks left on the plastic windows but other than that it is just fine. If you do wash Autostratus van you could pop round here and do mine just to see if you do a better job than me lol.....

I would be very pleased to demonstrate on your Motor Homes, I can't stand people who are not prepared to back up their claims.

Please tell me where to send a pro forma invoice so that I can get your written agreement to my costs in advance, that way will prevent any problems after the job is done.

Travelling costs to site can be expensive, I usually use a Chauffer driven Rolls Royce, the disposable overalls and gloves are not cheap, but Harrods assure me they are the best. I shall also have a JCB waiting for me at your premises to assist with the higher parts. Should the total time with travelling exceed four hours, my usual working day I shall have to add the cost of a local 5* Hotel. there are of course several other minor charges but these will not exceed an additional £150.

I await your further instructions,

John

Hi John,

'twas me that suggested the flash thingy in a previous life, glad it worked for you, apparently theres a magic thing in the spray mechanism that 'ionises' the water causing it to run off the bodywork without leaving marks.

Now I know its been tried & tested, might just treat myself to one

I'm talking about the 'Flash Home Carwash System' Available from Halfrauds for about £19.99!

It fits onto the end of your hose and dipenses shampoo, ordinary rinse water and............. 'Auto Dry Ionised' water which dries without leaving spots etc.

Can be obtained at other outlets i would imagine, Car accessory dealers and DIY shops etc.

Hope this helps,

John

Mine works a treat, did one side of Motorhome with it and the other side just with hose.

The difference is very noticeable, recommend it :!: :!:

Eddie, did you use their shampoo or something else?

Grizzly, it is not ionised water, it is some type of 'ionising' filter, don't ask me what it is though, it is definitely not a liquid, the water passes through it!

Drummer, yes our London prices are always 'Bargain Basement' people just get the wrong idea about us! LOL

All the best,

Mer

Hi All,

can those of you who have used Mer give me some advice please? I used this on our first van (metal) and wasn't too pleased with the result but couldn't remember why. Having seen on the old site people recommending it I got some again. Have just spent 7 hours washing, rinsing the van (grp) and polishing and it looks.... awful   Admittedly it was very dirty when I started, but I washed it (with Fenwicks m/h cleaner), then rinsed it with a hose, let it dry (it's still got BobbyDazzler on it I guess from last time, anyway it dried without streaking) then polished it with Mer. Some bits are ok, some look as though I haven't polished off the "dust" but I've rubbed at it till I thought I'd go right through! other bits look streaky. It does say "apply as many times as necessary to get a deep shine".. is it "just" a case of doing it over and over  until it looks good or am I doing something wrong.

only whatever it is I have to do I'm not doing it tonight 8O

Give me a shout when they invent something that washes it for you - seroiusly though looked at that Flash thing and thought no, it will not do what it says - I must admit you just may have persuaded me after spending two hours at the week end dangling off a pair of steps trying to clean the overhang at the front...
