Not noticed much regional difference, really. We always wave at others but sometimes don't as a bit preoccupied - sorry for that.

I few years ago I was riding on my Vespa 200 when in the other direction came a possy of plastic German Harley riders, in their gleaming leathers and with their middle aged goatee beards, taking them selves ridiculously serious. They would never wave to a moped rider... NEVER.

In my open face helmet I beeped and gave the middle finger from the first to last rider (probably 30) and giggled all the way home!

Damn right Dave, may even have been 40! These were your typical office workers Mon-Fri who all became fat Marlon Brandos on a Sunday, had some spare cash and 'lived the dream' on their big Jap fake Harley's and looked just plain dumb! And my Vespa could top out at 68mph anyway if one wanted to give chase! :lol:
