I got around to it at last - took down the hornet nest in our loft and it is now waiting in our garage for me to dissect it.
After its first spotting in 2021, it was left having read that nests do not get reinhabited again - WRONG - they came back and have more than doubled it's size since then. :)
It has to go now since it was a worry being only a trap door away from our guest bedroom. Some guests need spiders removed so I cant imagine what they would think about a busy hornet nest above their room.
No one has been stung and they have never caused us any problems but they are a worry so time to go.

What a beautiful nest, but I detest the things, they get a whack if they come in my house if they don´t bugger off when I tell them to and any I hear buzzing about outside also get told to sling their hook there´s no room for them here.

You can´t help thinking what clever little builders they are though.

Can you just make your phone a hotspot n connect your laptop to that?
I already do that every day Jean but as I got a free day's wifi I thought I'd try it. I logged our phones and Mrs GMJ's tablet into it easy enough. It doesn't matter now as the free day is over.

I THINK that you go into your wifi settings an look for those available. You then click on the one that is the for the campsite
I was doing that Pat it's just that it then didn't give me the option of entering the User ID and password. It did when I logged in on our phones and Mrs G's tablet but not when I tried it on the laptop which was strange.

Morning

We had a bike ride out yesterday, down to the sea front. It probably is walkable but quicker and easier by bike. Very nice it is down there too. Plenty of eating places for a nice lunch or dinner out and a prom to walk along. The afternoon was spent sat outside reading as it was lovely and warm again.

We are popping out to the supermarket this morning and then this afternoon the 6 Nations rugby starts so we'll be watching that.

If the sun is shining this afternoon I`ll take the car for a spin and we`ll have a walk somewhere different, my little chap could do with some different scenery.

what is sfr? found it
Supposed to be high speed, but I understand the French are very laid back so maybe it is speedy to them :)

SFR is a French telecommunications company. As of December 2015, it had 21.9 million customers in Metropolitan France for mobile services, and provided 6.35 million households with high-speed internet access

But their customer service is non existent. Any queries the cut you off while they investigate.
The box on loan all last week they cut off and now have to go 45kms to shop to exchange for another the same with new SIM. Crackers.
Now two return journeys like this or 180kms because THEIR line is on the blink.

I thought I was going to treat myself to a late lunch in the middle of the forest, trouble was I couldn´t find the blessed place.
I have just looked on Google maps and no wonder I couldn´t. I have found the GPS so will try again tomorrow.

Morning

We had a walk up to the Old Town yesterday morning to get a few things from the Mercadona near there and then to have a wander around. It really is a nice place to walk around. The afternoon was spent watching the 6 Nations rugby which was a shame as it was the warmest day of our trip thus far, at 18 degrees.

Today we plan on taking a bike ride down to the sea front again. We'll get some bread for lunch and no doubt stop for a coffee somewhere. More rugby this afternoon.
