I've got to try to remember to make a dentists appointment before my pension credits stop.

"Got the apple air book :) on which I am typing now! Lots of messing around with passwords etc but so far so good".

I need an Apple really because we have iphones. Mind you the iphone was mainly for technophobe Chris and he still can't get to grips with it! Just bought the cheapest one they had as I only use it for emails really.

If you have bought a MacBook Air, even the cheapest model, you have bought one of the finest computers on the market, and you say that you only use it for emails really.

REALLY? I find that unbelievable.

I could have sent you my 12 year old MacBook Air for the postage if that was what you were going to use it for.

Thanks Jan. It was one of the main reasons for getting an Apple. So many companies now say "can you send us a photo of that". When I explain that my technology does not cooperate they seem bemused and can come up with no alternative! My good friend up the road is an Apple fanatic and will always come and sort me out if I need help.

Yes REALLY. Who, if I buy second hand, is going to give me tech support when something needs fixing? People who have worked with technology have no idea how the rest of us struggle. They get to go on company training courses and may well have family members close by to help them learn the ropes. The rest of us just muddle through and it is money well spent if I can deal with this bungalow build and the rest of home management in as stress free way as possible.
Now we are off to borrow my brother's whacker plate! Will send some photos, for all you machine nuts out there, of it in action later. I just pray that Chris's health can cope with it. He has said that I can take over if it is too much for him! We (Chris) are doing some landscaping using the new digger and the old tractor. We reminisced over how we used to do stuff all by hand with a wheelbarrow and a couple of shovels :)

😁 I didn´t have a computer until 2007 Pat, I had never even seen one until we came to Germany. I learnt on Windows, then changed to Apple and found it much easier, I have learnt a lot by watching and following YouTube, but you get super support from Apple just sitting at home and talking on the phone to young men all over the world when you need help.
Always a young man..........................

Ray.
One reason I never get phoned Ray, I'm 81.

They are young to me and you because they are still working and unlike us know how to fix computer problems, not sure if they would know how to fix an engine though.

My friend kept telling me that Apple are much more intuitive but I was not going to change until the old laptop died. We both worked in the same, special needs, school and, just as I was retiring, they bought in i pads for all the kids. If I had stayed I might have been given lessons! If those students can use them then I am sure I will get there in the end. One boy, apparently, ordered a whole lot of toys from Amazon!
We are off out to lunch in Cricklade today with fiends.
Hope they weren't too fierce Graham!

:ROFLMAO: Just got to love a typo sometimes.

They were fiendishly nice as it goes :D
Morning

Mrs GMJ is off out to meet her eldest son this morning. I'll stay back at base and cook myself a brunch I think however I'll need to wind the canopy out given the current weather!
I hope you don`t get a surprise visit from the wind G.

Trust Jean to find your typo, but it was one retired school teacher marking the other retired school teachers paper :ROFLMAO:

Heike and Jürgen arrived at 3.30pm yesterday, Motley was pleased to see his 2 playmates, he never goes overboard when he sees people he hasn`t seen for a long time, even the ones he loves, just a smile on his face and a waggy tail.
Didn't get to the farm yesterday so will see how it goes today :)
Morning

Mrs GMJ is out seeing a friend this morning so I'll drop her off and go and do some food shopping while she's out. Our lad is popping in for a coffee after work this evening and said he would drive me down to the Chinese takeaway so I can pick some up for our tea. It's a rare treat for us these days given that we don't get deliveries at home and there isn't one in Cirencester that delivers.
Lunch and Folies Bergère for us today.
Grande 5 couse lunch inc all drinks. Then a Caberet with sketches and dancing girls. Maybe up to 300 at a sitting over 4 days.

Ray.
Garage doors should arrive today. We then have to choose a colour for the walls that are being colour rendered. They will be a cream colour as that is in the planning but don't want them to look like a bad match with the doors. Wish now that we had chosen another colour for the doors. They can be painted but it seems wrong to paint brand new doors.

At the moment I sit here tapping the key board, but in the workshop/big room, there are two busy workers taking the benches out into the shed,
Not very good photos because I can´t turn off the sun.

I'm resting today, I've been helping Liz take out most of a Laurel bush that was overgrowing the pavement and was too tall to keep up to lopping branches of and then getting in to saw through the 6 inch trunks, got it down to waste height, looks a bit rough but it should leaf up soon, now we need to get it to the tip, 4 trips in the car might be enough but that's tomorrow as she out doing lunch today then visiting her sister.

So Lamb shank in the hole today with mash n gravy.
