We had a long drive yesterday to get to Caserta and another one scheduled for today to get to Siena. We had decided to have 2 long days drives in order to get a 2 night stay in Siena, so mustn't grumble.
Off to the fine city of Norwich to collect some trousers I have ordered. Chiropractor only found a few little things that you would expect to find anyway on a five year old dog. She advised going back to vet for referral to a second opinion specialist. She agrees with me that a dog would not hop if its leg was stable and not painful.
We will be back on the road today, moving 3 hours up north to be close to Genoa. We did originally plan to go via Pisa but we decided that to do it some justice, we'd stop there for a couple of nights on a future trip.
Going to an old friend's funeral today She was about my age and her daughter was a friend of my daughter's so we moved in the same circles. She had not long retired and decided to get a puppy after being dog free for a good while. She was so enjoying taking him out for walks around the village and meeting people
Resting after yesterdays hospital visit.
Just standing outside my shed with the wheelbarrow and Google Maps car came down the lane and back again.
So look out for me as I'm a star now.
Nothing much on today. More struggling with the VAT I suppose. As the build has been going on over three years I have to chase up missing invoices from that period. Some firms are great whereas others are not. Then there there will be the ones where I have no paperwork at all and have to rely on memory to fill in the blanks.
There is a group, that we like, playing live at a nearby village pub today and the pub is putting on a bar b q. We might go to that. The pub is too small for it to be inside so it will be an outdoor event. At one time we would have walked the approx four miles there and back but I think it might be too far for me now. Chris can go on his scooter of course. I suppose I could hitch a lift? We will see how I feel after this morning's dog walk.
Now in France in the Savoy area. It was another hot day yesterday which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep despite all our efforts to keep the MH cool.
Another shortish days driving today which will be nice especially as I want to watch a rugby match later on the telly on Channel 5: The Barbarians v a Rest of the World side.
Nothing much on today. We did go to the pub at lunchtime yesterday as their facebook advert said it all started at 12 noon. It meant that they were open from then but music didn't start until early evening. Had a pint and went home then couldn't be bothered, after walking the dog, to venture out again. Oh the joys of old age
Nothing much on today. More VAT struggles I expect....
We continue our journey up through France today. The weather thus far has been glorious. Yesterday's drive was non toll/non motorway as it only added 40 mins to the drive and was well worth it as the scenery we drove through in the Savoy/Rhone area was beautiful.
