I thought somewhere to comment on or suggest TV programs might be a good subject as it tends to get put in amongst other threads so not easy to find later on.

We watched the last of the Vigil series on Friday night, it's been quite well done, about faslane and Russian spies on a submarine, also started the second series of Manhunt with Clunsie playing a very odd part as a rozza.

Also a really good USA series, man with a plan, very funny.

We started A Very English Scandal on iPlayer last night. I know it's been around for a while now but somehow we missed it first time around. It's a 3 parter with a very good cast and very watcheable.
Talking about programmes being resurrected I have been caught up with Simon Sharma's history of Britain. Apart from being continually startled by how young he looks I have throughly enjoyed the series. Every week there were gaps (for me) filled in.
We finished A Very English Scandal on iPlayer and have to say it was excellent. Well worth watching if anyone hasn't seen it.
We started Series 2 of The Outlaws on iPlayer last night. I can't work out how we missed it when it was on 'live' tbh. Very good and quite funny in parts.

We watched a film on the BBC iPlayer yesterday called Mr Jones, starring James Norton amongst others. It's a very interesting film based on the life of Gareth Jones

Coincidentally we both went to the same school...which I didn't realise until I watched the film!

We finished watching the latest adaptation of Great Expectations on the iPlayer last night. Very nicely done indeed.

We started a new series on iPlayer last night called Small Axe. The series appears to be made up of a number of adaptations reflecting the real life stories of members of the UK black community. Some hard hitting stuff in episode 1 last night.
I just watched "The angriest man in Brooklyn" good film
We started a new series to us on iPlayer last night called Better. It's about a corrupt Police detective in the UK and her dealings with 'Mr Big' whilst trying to keep her job. Very good first episode we thought.
Because there was little else on TV last night we ended up watching the Royal Concert. It was quiet good and entertaining despite not knowing 90% of the performers. Definitely a young event as George and Charlotte were singing along to everything.

Ray.

It's a good series.
Malpractice, excellent medical thriller on ITV, 5 episodes.

You can binge watch it on ITVX but you'll have to suffer the ads unless you upgrade to premium, or maybe get the 7 day free trial and watch it ad free for free. ;)

Malpractice - Series 1 - Episode 1 - ITVX

Bodies, an oldish drama, but still great. Graphic dark medical series by Jed Mercurio, 2 series should keep you occupied for a while....

BBC iPlayer - Bodies

Wondered about that. If you use Chrome and Adguard you don't get ads on any of the terrestrial players.

I'm happy to just record a few series as can wizz past the adds, not having iPlayer.

Ray.
We just watched a DVD called 5 Days of War. Based on the Russian-Georgian war of 2008 it is a comparable parallel to the recent invasion of Ukraine. Hard hitting and well acted, it would be worth seeking out if it's on any of the PPV networks.
