I thought somewhere to comment on or suggest TV programs might be a good subject as it tends to get put in amongst other threads so not easy to find later on.

We watched the last of the Vigil series on Friday night, it's been quite well done, about faslane and Russian spies on a submarine, also started the second series of Manhunt with Clunsie playing a very odd part as a rozza.

Also a really good USA series, man with a plan, very funny.

Been watching Erdogan's rise to power in Turkey. Seems he has been very ruthless with any opposition. Elections next Sunday which could bring more violence. Watch this space.

We finished watching Better on the iPlayer last night. We enjoyed it, certainly worth a go.

We then started watching North Sea Connection. Seems like a keeper after the first episode.
What a waste of time the Eurovision 'song' contest was.
Hardly any enjoyable songs and all outlandish costumes and flashing lights.

Just watched this earlier. Good God Kev! On the one hand I think it's the worst film I ever saw but on the other it was so hammy it was quite funny. 🤣
It had it's merits, 4 stars from 4.2k peeps so it worth watching, it was a good concept jsut not as well done as it could have been.
I just started on this one.

Hmmm. You should become a film critic Kev. Anything you give four or five stars to we know to avoid 🤣

We watched the last part of Small Axe on the iPlayer last night. It is a 4 parter produced by Steve McQueen which looks at the pressures the black community face in British society. The first episode was hard listening as the patois was very strong. There are only 4 episodes. Issues covered include education; societal integration; and police interaction.

We saved the episode Mangrove until the end as it was more of a film really being over 2 hours long. It was hard hitting and brutal in places and detailed police brutality against the black community n 1960's Notting Hill.

I'd recommend it: tough watching but does give some insight I believe.
We finished watching North Sea Connection on iPlayer the other night. Good stuff and eagerly awaiting another series.
We started watching Sherwood on the iPlayer the other night. It's been good watching so far. It's a cops/murder series set in Nottinghamshire and against the history of the 1984 miners strike. Good cast too.
All the top news is about a Philip Scofield.
Whats a Philip Scofield? Never watched ITV morning show, have no interest in some wayward character. Who cares about the loves and lives of TV presenters?
