Thats what I meant - it seems to be random - I'm wondering if they are 'highlighted' for a reason?
Its just a querk of the software and your cursor and we all know wht pussers are BLUE!

Peter
Do you mean like this?

The last message you clicked on is highlighted in red.

Not on my screens and I am using xp, vista and an old windows, all that happens on a post that I have read is the icon changes colour to blue.

It's the browser that does this, by default html links that are 'active' appear in red, whereas unvisited links are blue and visited links are a sort of purple colour, this can be overidden by the html styles applied to the website. as an example; when looking at the titles, right click on one and select 'open in new window' from the menu that appears, then minimise the new window and you should see the link that you right clicked on is red.
