Would love to hook up some sort of wind power thingie to my 'flagpole' when we are camping... or even on the move!!!

Is this not possible?? Would it generate enough 'juice'

Tried a search while back and a company said they were doing some R+D but that's been delayed now for another 12 months... pooh!!

Wind generators

First thing I thought of was the Centre for Alternative Technology at Machynlleth. www.cat.org.uk I recall they used to publish plans to make a not too shabby wind turbine from one bicycle wheel and an old alternator! There are companies making wind turbines for our canalboat cousins, but you can spend a wedge on this stuff. www.marlec.co.uk (did some free consultancy work for this crew when I was at college, but that's another story!) If the worst comes to the worst, just start with some old bits and get experimenting!
