@;My PC and laptop were top of the range 8 years ago but apparently the Intel 7 chips they both have are not good enough for Win 11 so I will just do my photography processing etc. on them with Win 10 as all my secure work like banking I do on my phone anyway.

W10 will be supported until 2025 so if your current machine wont upgrade to 11 it must be four years old or more already. If you are still hanging on in 2025 to an eight your old or older machine, its time for an upgrade anyway! :D

I dont think i have ever had a laptop survive much more than three years. :D
I have upgraded the PC and the laptop with SSD drives plus a lot more memory in both and as I said they will both do me for now as I use the smart phone for anything requiring security......that is of course if the Zionists haven't decided to keep an eye on me.

I have windose11 now I was going to wait but I read that it was a lot more secure than win 10 and I have a new PC so I thought it better to update now before too much clutter.

The start menu is horrible IMO as its all the usual links but all in different places and in some cases you have to click on two links to achieve what you did before with one. BUT have found a handy software program that allows you to change 11 to look like Win 10 or even 7 if you prefer. It cost me E6.99 but believe me its worth it if it stops me from pulling what's left of my hair out.
If anyone is interested its called Stardock Start 11.

Windows 11, don’t bother. I’ve been trying it out for three or four weeks and its got a lot of problems.
Thank goodness for backup software. Now back to win 10.

It should ask you if you want to do it but of course it can be done by accident if your not careful. It's easy to roll back though as long as you do it within two weeks I think. As far as I've looked there is no tool to block it like there was with 7 to 10.
It's only ten days before you have to revert to win 10. Unless you have image software and I'm glad I had.:grin2:

Must admit I have been wondering if they have ironed out the bugs yet.

Ray, if you have a British library card you can download Computer Active from the library that issued the card via an app called Libby.

Have installed it and all my photo editing software is running OK. Have had to make changes to the layout as they can't resist moving thing around so they are not in their usual places but so far so good.
