Many years ago, and I do mean many, back in '73 to be precise,

I went to France on a road trip and a bottle of wine was cheaper than a bottle of water .. !

Our 10 litre boxes of vin rouge are still under 20euro so I will not complain.

We have also noted that prices have gone up where we are in Spain:-

1 litre bottle of Lidl gin was €5.99 last winter and is now €7.79.

12x cans of cooking lager was €2.60 last winter and is now €3.48
