Hi All

I need to get a solar panel for when we go off round mainland Europe for 2 years this November, we will be doing alot of wild camping.

Been looking at prices here, and just wondered if anyone was aware if you can pick them up cheaper anywhere in europe? or if they knew anywhere cheap full stop??

This is a major outlet for accessories with branches throughout France,
I can't find solar panels advertised on the site but you can send for the catalogue.

If anyone takes the monthly magazine CampingCar they may be able to answer your question fron the mags advertisements.
We used to take it but stopped it a couple of years ago.
They are very expensive here. I suggest you have one fitted in the UK before you leave. There was, recently, a special deal on with Charente Evasion for 110 watt for 980 euros and an 80 watt for 880 euros and they would give you 100 euro discount if ordered in April/May and the price is fully fitted.

Just got the latest Pro-Acessoires brochure and the prices in there are 80w 399 euros and 110w 644.90 euros, these prices do not include fitting. I think fitting is about 250 euros which includes the regulator.
I doubt if you will find them any cheaper in Europe, especially with the exchange rates. Shop around here in UK you can get good deals if you are prepared to fit yourself. Air and Sun here Solar Panels will sell you a 87W panel for £375 or a complete kit for £475 - even cheaper if you buy two. I wouldn't get the fitting kit though - much cheaper if you get mounting brackets from Outdoor Bits or Motorcaravanning and do it yourself
BP panels are good and out perform others with greater ratings. I just tested some. A 30 watt BP had more output than a 36 watt sunware in a side by side test. Don,t take the published ratings as gospel.

Marlec Engineering sell BP panels. Always haggle.
