Spotted on my way to work Monday ( Could have been Tuesday) morning
Parked up in the field entrance off the roundabout at the bottom of the Northbound sliproad off the A12 at Howe Green at about 8.45 a.m.

For a quieter overnight spot carry on round the roundabout under the A12 to the second roundabout then take the First ( Narrow looking) exit through Howe Green - follow this road for about 2 miles through the village and the chicanes past Chelmsford Carriage co ( Car sales) on your right -at the end of the long straight section the road rises and bends slightly to the left then starts to drop - at the bottom of the drop on the left there is a very large gravel layby often used by the odd HGV overnight.
For good food follow the road further on - you will come to the Royal Tiger (Thai and Indian) on your left which has a large car park to the rear, another mile or so you will come down a steepish hill into Rettendon Common.
The Bell pub at the bottom of the hill serves good food - bar food or Chimes restaurant at he back to Park turn into the road alongside the pub or go past the pub and pull in towards the "Van Man" just past the pub - easier parking for large vehicles!
