The site has been updated over the past couple of years. There is a motorhome service point, new waste water points, and hard standing pitches. The access road has been renewed and there is a passing place. This is a very peaceful site in a lovely setting, there are no toilet or shower facilities so you have to be self sufficient in that area. Also please note this is a CCC members only site.

Excellent site if you have a dog or like walking. Turn right straight outside the gates and you are on miles of common, heath, Molesey Heath nature reserve, lakes, riverbank and reservoir. There is also a dedicated dog walk area reached by crossing the bridge over the river. There is fishing ( lake or river Ember) from the site.
There are several big gravel pitches with electricity.( 10 amp) The grass is very firm even after rain and there is plenty of shade. There is a mix of electric and non-electric pitches and it is all very informal. The warden says they have never had to turn anyone away even at busy times - though you might not get an EHU.
There are only 2 water taps- widely spread as the site is big-, one grey water disposal point and one CDP and no MH service point. There are no toilet blocks or showers so, if you have problems carrying water any distance a trolley would be useful.
451 and 461 buses are 1/4 mile exactly from the site gate and run about 30 mins apart. These take you directly to Hampton Court Palace ( 14 mins) or - see Transport for London site- a variety of other places. Walk down the rough lane to the first houses, turn first right into the estate and then first left. The bus stop is straight across the road and is called Ansell Hall/ Fieldcommon Lane. Bus passes can be used from 9am.
Very limited stocks of food - milk and ice cream and odd tins- at the site so arrive stocked up.
Very quiet site with own flock of parakeets and Egyptian geese as well as excellent blackberries.

No problem for large RVs - there were 3 on site last week. No facilities so will need to be self contained but cheap and convenient for London. Public transport is about a mile away, pubs etc are more than that so it is not that good unless you have other transport. Hampton court is a 15 minute drive away. All pitches are grass as far as I could see. Difficult getting local information
