|Information:||Whitemead is set in 5 acres of woodland, with 95 pitches on level grass. Individual pitches including 66 with electric hookups. You may bring your dog as long as it is on a lead and is exercised off the park.
Our small shop offers milk, eggs, bread, other basic groceries, confectionery, soft drinks, etc. Also available are Calor Gas and Camping Gaz exchange, camping and caravan accessories. At the rear there is a games room with darts and a pool table. There is an adjacent telephone box. During the high season, on certain evenings, our catering trailer provides a fastfood service; on weekend mornings, a cooked breakfast is available.
The Shower Block
Free hot showers and water. Flush toilets. Baby changing cubicle. Electric hairdryer for hire and socket point for own dryer. Laundry room, also with washing up facilities, washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities.

There are two play areas. One is for young children and toddlers. It has swings, a slide, see-saws and a sandpit. There is also a ball games area with goalposts
There is a very good pub within approx 1/4 mile which does good grub|
Weymouth and Portland
Approx.25 minutes to the west by car or train. Site for the sailing events in the 2012 Olympics. Beautiful, safe, sandy beaches, picturesque harbour, lots to do for children and adults. Rugged Portland with its castle, the National Sailing Academy, Portland Bill and the wonder of Chesil Beach
Includes the historic county town of Dorchester, its museums and large Wednesday market, the lovely village of Abbotsbury with its Swannery and Tropical Gardens, Lyme Regis and its associations with the "French Lieutenant's Woman"
Swanage and its safe, sandy beach, the Saxon walled town of Wareham, spectacular Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, the abandoned village of Tyneham, the fossil shales of Kimmeridge Bay, medieval Corfe Castle standing atop a gaunt hill
Poole and Bournemouth
Poole (20-25 mins away by car or train) and Bournemouth (40-45 mins away by car or train) are Dorset's largest towns, Poole has Europe's largest natural harbour which contains the nature reserve of Brownsea Island, and in Bournemouth you'll find
5 miles of sandy beaches
Wool and Monkey World
Wool with two supermarkets, two pubs, a station, and the beautiful surprise of Spring Street and the old village. Fascinating for old and young alike, Monkey World is a reserve for rescued primates, mainly chimpanzees and lemurs, a day's visit less than 2 miles from the caravan park. Close to Monkey World, visit the Tank Museum at Bovington Camp

Stayed there for 2 nights in early June 2014. Pitches are well marked out and a good majority are flat. WiFi free for 3 hours per day. TV reception very good. Toilets are new and excellent shoewers.
Fast express bus to Poole or Weymouth can be picked up outside Wool Railway Stn. (Free with your bus pass) or Trains to Weymouth.
