These things seem to becoming the latest "thing" and I was just wondering if they serve any useful purpose for us motorhomers?
I already have a decent quality Bluetooth radio/CD player in my PVC, a stand alone sat nav and a dashcam (its a 2009 vehicle so too old to have an infotainment screen)

I cannot see any real point in getting one. Am I missing something or is this yet another device looking for a non existent "issue" to fix?

Something like this For those unfamiliar.

Def avoid Andy! I was just thinking today that one of the elements of MHing that I like is the camping aspect. I don't need, and certainly don't want, much of the gotta-haves. Makes life simpler (and cheaper!)

Pretty much my line of thought as well, but thought I would see what others thought. I do have a smart TV in the van, but it gets very little use, if any, whilst are are away. Handy for the odd grotty day though as I can use my phone as a hot spot to access Netflix etc (unlimited data in the UK and 50gb on each of our mobiles when in Europe. Bizarrely I can access iplayer that way when abroad.

The one thing I wish I had done is wire in a jack socket for my phone to the cab radio. I got one of those transmitter cig socket things but its rubbish. The really annoying thing about our cab radio as well is it switches itself off every 15 min if the engine isnt running.

My radio has a 3.5mm jack, so I can plug the phone into it. In addition the nice people at Murvi wired in another switched supply from new to the radio so it doesnt switch off after 20 minutes
