Does anyone know of stockists for LHD 1997 Fiat 2.5 exhaust systems. I live in the South east so a dealer in this area would be favourable.
Thanks in advance Oldtimer

Exhaust

Hi oldtimer

There was a post on this site about 2 years ago about a company who would make a stainless steel exhaust for any vehicle, and made one for a Ducato for around ÂŁ400.00 complete with all fittings while you wait,

www.longlife.co.uk

The old tel No was 08002799900 Fairfield Glos

But I think they moved to central London so try 08706003133

Longlife Exhaust Centre Ltd

Good luck

Indeed it was us!! Longlife in Falfield, Glos. On A38, north of Bristol not far from Slimbridge - Just off the M5. Fantastic service, courtesy car for the day included; plus 6 year guarantee. If you Google it, I am sure you will get the right address and phone number. We are well pleased with the stainless exhaust as it gives the van a really sporty note!!!

New address

Following up my last post, I looked at the web address given and the unit we used have moved within the Glos area. It is obviously a franchise - this one was very good to us. They are used to making up LHD exhausts and have done American motorhomes as well as Hymers etc. Best of luck with your search, the franchise nearer you might suit better though I can't vouch for their workmanship of course.

Aah-the reason I ask is that this will apply to me too then-my Dethleffs 2.5 TDI Fiat has a left hand exit. Do UK ones have right then?
I would have thought that any good UK exhaust place should be able to source a LHD one given time? (Although Stainless would really be a better option for long term.) Or indeed, could a UK market one be adapted to fit? Just thinking aloud really.....

I can recommend Longlife, they made up a complete stainless system for my Fiat 2.5td for under ÂŁ300.00!!!
They said about 3 hours but it was nearer 4. Excellent quality and very nice people.
Only downside , if you have a big bus (like us) It will only fit in the Cardiff depot. Nice little drive tho!

When my Hymer on a Mercedes base needed a new exhaust my local independent supplier just looked it up in his suppliers catalogue and it was in next day. He did not look up a special LHD exhaust just the base Mercedes 410. It may be that the final bend in the system can be swung to exit left or right?

lhd exhaust prob no prob!!

hey i have the mercedes 410 ,2.9 diesel .in fact the exhaust system is from the earlier type mercedes 207 . and the bracket to hold the exhaust box only needs to be welded on th opposite side of the box to to hang right hand rather than left it really is that simple , if you are not sure what exhaust you have but you have the make of vehicle your local tyre exhaust centre will have the details in the TIMEX , exhaust catologue take a qiuck look of the one you want to replace and then ask to look in thier timex exhaust book under the make of vehicle , and beware in some case,s you could find what you are looking for on the same make vehicle and model but it could be on a previous model up to 10 years older , beleive me i know , good LOOOOOKING you will find .
all the best have fun .
