in the shower area of our MH there is a strap which "was" screwed to the wall and had a press stud on the other end to hold the shower screen in place when not in use. the screw has pulled loose and left a tear in the beige coloured plastic panel which needs to be repaired.

Is there anything like a fibre glass repair patch or something similar I can use? Thanks in anticipation

Fibreglass resin and matt can be bought at any decent car accessories/parts shop. Although I would not use it on a finished surface as it will not give a very good finish. If you can get to the rear of the panel fibreglass can be used to make a good strong repair.
I guess you have contacted manufacturer to cost a replacement panel?

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks ched999uk. I haven't contacted the manufacturer yet as I suspect the panels don't come cheap. I was hoping someone on MHF will have seen it before and have a good solution to it.

I won't get a chance to have a look at it until we go on holiday next time as I'm still trying to finish fitting the new bathroom at home atm and we put the MH in storage yesterday.

If I can remove the panel I will but I suspect it's not going to be 4 screws :(

If by some miracle I can get the panel off without damaging too much around it I'll put the patch on the back as you suggest and see if I can bond a piece of marine ply to take the screw

Instead of taking anything apart could you not find something decorative and waterproof that could be glued to the panel and could also take the press stud. It could be made to look as if it was meant to be part of the panel.

thought about a hook of some kind which would go over the damage but one that I could screw the securing strap onto. Thanks teljoy for the suggestion
