I have been having some serious trouble with my Giest Ducato. It started with the clutch which I had renewed in April. Then the syncromesh on fifth gear had to be replaced and now I think that the whole gearbox is in danger of failing. It still works but it crunches from time to time when changing in the 2 to 4 gear area. The Van has done 27,000 miles and has now been hard used.
The cluitch has always been quite heavy.
Has anybody had a similar experience? Do you think think I will have to replace the gearbox or can it be worked on? Whatever, does anyone have an idea on a reasonable cost?
