Yep, I ran my 5.2 ton Frankia at 55 psi all round. It was a comfortable ride, no excessive tyre wear and the grip was fine wet or dry.

Camper or CP tyres are designed to be run at the maximum pressure, which could either be 70 or 80 psi. If the ride is too harsh, you could try backing them off by 5psi or so at the front maybe. Useful guide here...
