I got an email offering Club Voyage France for £60 and Spain for £90 (that's for the 1st year, they've dropped the equivalent registration fee.)

It can be done by phone only. 0330 159 7000

"Join Club Voyage for half price!
This Valentine’s Day, we’ve waived the registration fee for new Club Voyage members. Why not treat your better half to a half price membership? With our Club Voyage scheme you can save up to 35% on sailings along with great onboard benefits and exclusive offers.

This exclusive offer is only available by phone and must end on Wednesday 22nd February, so what are you waiting for? Give us a call to join today!

Club Voyage France - 1st year membership : £60 instead £120 - Club Voyage Spain - 1st year membership : £90 instead £180"

The savings are quite large for membership, you get a £12 odd voucher for meals - tge cost of breakfast, also cabins during day travel are foc (from memory), if you share your number with friends or family, not permitted on here by BF, you receive a £10 credit each time it is used - that is a discount of a ferry charge.

IMO it is a very good offer, but I dictates how much BF is suffering at present, few ferries are even half way full from our experience and, sadly, the quality of food in the restaurants has dropped while the price has risen…..

Great if you use BF regularly.
As Jean we might only use BF once a year max and you will never recover the membership outlay.
You would be hard pressed to manage all the promoted discounts and benefits.

My wife has just booked a BF return via Cherbourg at £320 inc discount. Personally I would go DFDS via Dieppe £80 return.!!

Depends on where you want to go. For us it is Romsey, so a DFDS ferry to Newhaven would add 2h driving in France and the same in the U.K. Also, we use the overnight cabin to allow us to start in France in the early morning (0800) so we can drive the journey in one day, normally, when both of us are driving. BF are expensive - totally agree, but you only get what you pay for.

We find the timings and facilities good and regularly get a 50% discount on crossing fare, plus the meal vouchers (£24 for the two of us), plus an annual bonus due to others using our number of £60 - £80, more if our gite is in operation.

Taken altogether we think the package works for us - we usually use the fully flexible option, so can book before the end of this month and Amex timings foc until we go - something we used a lot last autumn with me not being sure that I could travel.

In the end different arrangements will suit different people, great that reduces the pressure on what we would like !

I think I saw 35% indicated Jean. But apparently there is a French club and a different Spanish club.
Not sure if you can get discounts on both destinations.
Look on BF website at Club benefits. Just sent it to you Jean via email.

Thanks Ray - just heard from the horse's mouth (i.e. Mya from Brittany Ferries) that the offer (and in fact Club Voyage itself) is only for sailings from UK to either France or Spain. Nowt to do with Ireland 😔

I used to be a member, but let it lapse for a couple of years(Spain route) due to building new house.WAS worthwhile even if only 1 trip a year .Just looked at rejoining,Discounts have gone down...now not really possible to use low season discounts , but will just about pay for it's self on one trip at 10% rate. In conclusion worthwhile IF you are certain you will use them once at mid season discounts.( If only to be able to renew next year at half price..)
As all their crossings are long time wise and more expensive than road travel and we aren't in a hurry to get anywhere I've decided Dover Calais better option and potter down to Spain.. maybe via west coast France, back via Switzerland, Germany or or ? Not compelled to go Bilbao to UK.
I used that route a lot with an Iveco daily carrying tools materials furniture whilst renovating our place in Spain ( which we are now going to sell ,shame 14 acre. Olive farm and 2 bed property but Br@@it ! Now can't do that rule change with Brittany Ferries has to be booked as freight! More than doubles the price .Last time I looked £600 for a private van phoned freight I think was around £2k
