I have a Samsung N10, which is currently on on Windows XP. Can this be updated to Windows 7? If so how difficult is it please? Also i have a router that came with my Talk Talk package, but previously i had a Netgear router, the one i have now does not seem as good. Anyone of you technical people out there got any advice, if so, how easy is it to install a new router?

Yes, you can install Windows 7 on a NC10. But it's resource hungry and you would be well advised to replace the 1Gb ram with a 2Gb module.
All the Windows 7 drivers for the NC10 are on the Samsung website.
However, whether it's worth the hassle and cost is debatable. I have it on my NC10 and whilst it looks good it's not as snappy as XP, even with the extra ram. You will, of course, need a portable usb drive unless you install from a memory stick, but that gets a little complicated.

As far as the router is concerned some Netgear routers will not work on Talktalk. Do a Google search on Talktalk connection settings and the second item on the list will tell you all you need to know. I suspect it may be easier to stick with the one they give you.

Installation of a new router is difficult because each one is different. I do not install any software but connect through the IP address which has worked with BT and D-link routers.
I recommend, the extra ram in the N10. My wife has the N10 with only 1gb and my NC10 has 2gb which files playing all the movies I throw at it.
