With improvements in metallurgy and lubricants in recent years, most cars can be expected to exceed 150K miles without major overhaul. How many miles can one reasonably expect to get from the V-10 Ford with a 12,500 lb. chassis? What would be the milage limit to consider when buying a used motorhome? :?

Don't know about the Triton V10. The GM Workhorse V8 petrol nearest to it is "tested to 200,000 miles" and the marketing leads one to suggest that life is expected.
The Ford Triton engines probably don't need to last any longer than that anyway, because at ~8 mpg the owners are stone broke by then.
