Not me, sorry. How old is your unit? I’m curious to know so I can ask other owners. Small consolation but the updates generally don’t have a great bearing on the content already installed, so it isn’t as if you’ll fall off the edge, but may need to negotiate a new road or speed limit.

I was only today praising my Garmin that I’ve owned for the best part of a dozen years I reckon and without any issues. So I hope I don’t jinx that one.

 

I look for updates on my 4 year old TomTom Basic at least once a month, these days it`s updating points for electric cars to recharge and cameras. I can`t remember the last time it did a maps update, maybe no new roads have been completed in that time.
I do know it`s very frustrating getting the hang of new when you are used to the old one.

 

Well some progress to report
Tomtom replied apologising with some excuse about last map not getting registered properly and saying that they have re enabled the maps

Unfourtunately the maps they enabled are the normal car maps of europe not the camper maps
So back to them to see if they will change it to camper maps

 

Current map versions appear to be V 11.10

on the camper unit its v11.05 dated 12/22.
Fingers crossed tomtom re-enable the correct map

I did try the one they enabled by indtslling it onto device on an SD card so not to disturb the original map but got a warning on the unit that camper routing not available with thus map

 

FWIW:-
Updates do run out at the 'End of Life' of TomTom satnavs.
It does seem that 5 or so years is average.

Watching this with interest as I have the same. I recently updated (previous update would have been early March) and was surprised that there was nothing to update except the satellite fix, and electric charging points (which I ignore). I must check what version I have.

 

the contact in tomtom support that rectified this issue was someone called Yashshri
So raise a support ticket you have to go through the self help chat first before you can email them
(if you have difficulties maybe I could share this trouble ticket but as its not my Tomtom it would need to be a last resort and i get permission off the owner )

 

This was last updated in the spring and had camper map v 11.05 dated 12/22 loaded

anyway Tomtom have sorted it

Tomtom support replied and have released the map update for Europe camper on this account

Thanks for the heads up about this Trek. I got mine resolved by Mayur (or Max). I asked him to alert the appropriate dept to the problem as I suspect that many folk will just accept that their TT has come to the end of its life. The update should be automatically available as it always has been.

Now just doing the update. It started by saying the update would take less than a minute then shot up to 12hrs 50-odd minutes but came down fairly quickly to just under 3hrs with 3% done. Time to make a coffee!

(Actually, the time is climbing back up again.... Could be done by tomorrow!)

 

After 4hrs or more I'm at 99%! And that's just the downloading to the laptop, still have to actually update the TT.
